Kereū Feathers
I received the message there was a dead Kereū that had flown into a window. These birds are our native pigeon species and are beautiful. Their feathers are stunning. So after a short swim, some thinking about it, I took this image to share a closer appreciation of their beauty. After that, I took the bird to our part of the land and buried it with some parting respectful words to honour its life. I am sure it might have been the partner of two that have been here in the valley for months
